Protect access to abortion care.

We are at another critical moment in the fight for reproductive freedom.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be making a decision soon that would determine whether millions of women would be able to purchase private health insurance plans that cover abortion services.

Without the option to buy coverage that includes comprehensive reproductive health care, millions of additional women will be unable to afford access to abortion services--and as it becomes financially impossible for women to have access to abortions, clinics will be forced to close their doors.

Before HHS makes a decision, it is holding a public comment period to take input on this issue. But, HHS closes the public comment period on Monday.

Tell HHS to protect women's access to abortion services. Submit a public comment.

During the battle to pass health care reform, we saw that extreme anti-choice activists vehemently oppose the right of women to purchase private insurance that covers abortion care. They were unsuccessful in their attempt to include that ban in the health care law. They are now trying to flood the HHS with comments that oppose the right of women to have access to safe and complete reproductive health care, in another attempt to curtail the rights of women.

We need to show the HHS that they must protect the right of women to have access to abortion services and that pro-choice support far outweighs the extreme anti-woman forces.

Deadline Monday: Tell HHS to protect women's access to abortion services. Submit a public comment.
