E-mail exchange between CREDO's
Adam Quinn and Valero CEO Bill Klesse

CREDO campaign manager Adam "AQ" Quinn sent an email to Valero CEO Bill Klesse asking him to stop his attack on California's landmark global warming law, AB 32. To his surprise, he received an immediate reply -- from the Texas oil man's iPhone no less! Another CREDO campaigner, Leah Adler Donahey, received a similar response.

Echoing a talking point from prominent global warming deniers, Valero's CEO insisted that CO2 -- a major contributor to climate change -- is not air pollution. However, the scientific community and even the U.S. Supreme Court are clear on this issue: CO2 (carbon dioxide) is a pollutant that should be regulated.

I assume you realize that we are discussing CO2. Many people do not realize this is a CO2 law. We are not willing to ruin our economy, our business, your life style and our country over AB-32.

I will be boycotting all Valero Energy owned and supplied gas stations until you drop your funding of the ballot initiative that will destroy California landmark clean energy and air pollution law, AB 32.
